Food For Good Thought

Food For Good Thought was created in 2008 by Dr. Audrey Todd. The concept was created due to limited future employment opportunities for her non-verbal son with autism. 0ne of her son’s interests, baking, gave her the idea of a bakery.

Before her son developed a love for the kitchen, he was placed on a gluten-free diet because of significant digestive problems. As a result, some of his problematic neurological behaviors diminished in intensity. From this experience, Dr. Todd created a company that provides employment services and supported employment at a gluten-free bakery for individuals with autism.

Individuals may meet with a job developer to learn the skills needed for employment in a community setting or acquire a position in the gluten-free bakery.

Food For Good Thought's gluten free bakery is located in Clintonville on High St. just south of Henderson Road. The bakery is open to the public, special orders, and wholesale purchases. They offer a wide variety of products such as cakes, cookies, muffins, bread, pizza crust, lemon bars, and pies. They are always experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and catering to special orders, such as gluten free and dairy free. They also offer wholesale products for cafes, markets, and special events in the area.
